simplicity photo challenge - {vintage}

so excited to join in the challenge over at 'simplicity' this week - the theme is {vintage}, which i LOVE!

it brought to mind a recent mini-photo shoot with my three musketeers (aka, my spunky little nieces).  on their own, i felt the photos were missing something.  once i tried a more vintage-y look on them, i was in love!

here are a few of my favs from the shoot and a link to the rest: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22394749@N06/sets/72157625561147664/

Very nice, Tabs! What actions did you run on the photos?

These are beautiful - I especially love the first shot.

Thanks Kami! I actually don't use Photoshop, so have never used actions (although I'm VERY tempted to get Elements for that very reason!)

I do all my editing/post-processing in Lightroom (where the equivalent of actions are called 'presets, so sometimes I'll start with a preset and add my own tweaks.

For these photos specifically (and all those in this shoot), I made all my own edits and just tweaked and tweaked away until I liked the final product. I primarily played around with Saturation and Vibrance to get the tones I wanted.

Hope that helps!

Love these shots. I think the second one is my favorite I love the little hints of a smile and it screams "My sister is my best friend!" Love.
